Since 1937, the Halifax Humane Society has been a beacon of love and compassion in Volusia County, Florida.

Our mission is simple: to provide a safe haven for needy animals. Every year, we open our doors and provide programs & services to over 25,000 animals, offering them a second chance at loving forever homes. One of our key initiatives is our spay/neuter clinic, where we perform early-age spay/neuter surgeries. This ensures that every animal adopted from our shelter is altered before embarking on their new journey with a forever family. We also understand the significance of keeping pets with their families. To fulfill this goal, we provide valuable resources that align with our commitment to the community. Some of these services include our community dog park, the Lee C. & Patricia Center for Pet Resources, and the Lost Pet Database. At the heart of our mission is an unwavering commitment to animals and our community. With your support, whether through donations, volunteering, fostering, or adoption, we continue to make a positive impact, one paw at a time.

Together, we can brighten the lives of animals and those who cherish them.
